Gallery Space Available for Dane County Artists
The Common Wealth Gallery is a community art gallery located in the historic Madison Enterprise Center at 100 S. Baldwin Street on Madison’s near east-side. The 2,000 square foot gallery can accommodate solo and group shows.
The gallery is now taking reservations for 2019. The 2019 rental rate is $190 per week. The minimum rental period is one week. Please review these guidelines if interested in reserving the gallery.

Attending Common Wealth Gallery Shows
The Common Wealth Gallery is located on the 3rd floor of the Madison Enterprise Center at 100 S. Baldwin Street in Madison. There are two building entrances: the main door off the parking lot on the north side of the building and the dock doors on the south side of the building. The south entrance is via the MGE Central Service Center drive and provides direct access to the building elevator. Gallery show hours are set by the artists, but generally the Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
How to Rent the Common Wealth Gallery
Please note that the Common Wealth Gallery is alcohol-free, which means that alcohol is not permitted in the gallery at any time. Acoustic and amplified music with reasonable decibel levels are permitted during gallery events which must end by 10:30 pm.
Check the Gallery events calendar for availability. Choose your dates – the minimum rental period is one week. Be sure to count the days of your show. For example, May 1-7 is one week or 7 days while May 1-8 is 8 days. The 2019 rental rate is $190/week.
- Send an email to the Common Wealth Gallery with your rental dates and snail mail address.
- You will receive your lease and other gallery documents via e-mail. Sign and return the lease along with your rent check and your space is reserved. You will receive a copy of the executed lease via e-mail. You have 30 days to return your lease and rent check.
- At least one week prior to your show contact the Common Wealth Gallery to schedule a time to pick up the gallery keys and go over gallery policies.
